The admission test will be an oral assessment in English on basic concepts in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Students applying to the MDB curriculum will also be asked if they already possess any knowledge of Bioinformatic tools or, in general, any programming language that may be helpful to better understand course concepts. The motivation of the candidates will also be investigated.

For the academic year 2025/26 the admission test will take place online during the third week of September (week starting with September 15). Updates will be provided as soon as possible.

The exam may have one of the following outcomes:

  1. unconditional admission to the Master’s degree course;
  2. admission to the Master’s degree, with a list of the examinations to be passed in order to make up any credit deficits;
  3. non-admission to the Master’s degree due to insufficient knowledge of basic Biology concepts.
